Some of the spices do settle to the bottom (as noted by another comment), so I found that scooping the mixed liquid out of a the bowl and into the cups, leaving the very bottom sludge out of the final shots, alleviates that problem. Good luck! I'll test them out again and see if any revisions are needed. Adding a touch of whipped topping completes them.Moniquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295326536710279508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847773172159098727.post-16881227554534898062012-11-15T16:11:18.978-06:002012-11-15T16:11:18.978-06:00I hate to say it but I followed these instructions...I hate to say it but I followed these instructions to a T and it came out awful. It tasted gross.. I would not serve these to anyone. The spice mixture just settles at the bottom of the jello cup and is not very pleasant looking or tasting. You could make just slightly less if desired. I sprinkled the rest of the spice on pancakes. Or it would be great in home made whipped cream if you are not using the boozy cream.Moniquehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00295326536710279508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847773172159098727.post-50946885083683330182011-10-25T09:54:28.948-05:002011-10-25T09:54:28.948-05:00Could you please clarify? Since you use 1/2 TBS, what did you do with rest? I plan to use boxed Chai tea so not even sure I need the spice mixture? This recipe sounds awesome! Just want to make sure I do it correctly for Halloween party! =)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847773172159098727.post-68235826637616973952011-10-19T13:05:20.015-05:002011-10-19T13:05:20.015-05:00I just made these with prepared chai tea from a bo...I just made these with prepared chai tea from a box and was able to omit the spice mix. Needless to say, it will be a while before I'm up to your cooking standards. I had enough ingredients to make two double batches, but I burned the first pot of chai. Then I strained the second batch through too fine of a strainer, and it removed most of the spices. I tried adding some more spices back in, but I think I added too much cinnamon. They wound up tasting like Red Hots jello shots. Oh well, as you say, you eat your mistakes. With whipped cream on top, they were still yummy. We told people they were Cinnamon and Spice shots, inspired by your recipe!MarkJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12681740485903162531noreply@blogger.com
